Day #5 (68)-Moosing around and BOGO passes. Miles hiked: 24.9

This morning my departure from Red Eagle Lake was delayed by not one, but two bull moose eat to their hearts content right next to trail. Normally, moose are an animal I don’t want anything to do with, but these are clearly national park moose who are very accustomed to humans. Eat up, boys!

After the moosey morninf, it was up up and away to Triple Divide Pass. For any nerds like myself out there, this is a special spot where depending on which side of the rock water falls on, it goes to the Atlantic, Pacific, or Hudson Bay! I’d call that 3 for 1 on the effort it took to climb up there.

After a descent into a beautiful meadow and a climb up Pitakman Pass, I can call my big climbs at Glacier NP complete for this trip. Sad to see the bright blue lakes go, but excited for what’s ahead!https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1zekER_EUcM3W_iO68EDQ7P7W5ukzsL8Jhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=104QCaaswsvEWHuwNFF5u9NlTtGSrvABb
Not pictured-hitching back to East Glacier and immediately consuming 2000 calories in one sitting. Goodnight from town!
