Day #24-Desert decides to put on one last show. Miles hiked: 24.7

We have less than 200 miles left of this state, but boy did she put on a show today!

There have been non-stop rock formations and scrambles over sandstone all day long.

It’s been hot atop the exposed mesas, but the lizards don’t seem to mind one bit.

The hiking has been a bit trickier than a dirt road, but I’ve welcomed the challenge and my feet have welcomed the chance to move in different ways.

Speaking of feet, I’ve still been nursing blisters in this sections (as I have for all of the past 21 days), but I did get to experiment hiking the last 7 miles of the day with zero tape or bandages, and it worked! I’ve struggled with my feet in every shoe, every sock, and every trail, so I’m no stranger to managing the discomfort, but oh how nice it was.

Town tomorrow!
