Day #2 (65)-To permit or not to permit. Miles hiked: 10.4

Today was day 2 of my Glacier National Park escapade and began with a breakfast burrito and shuttle to Two Medicine ranger station. Thanks to Wyatt for the ride and for sharing some of the history of his land, which for the record belongs to the Blackfeet Nation who have lived here since the beginning of time.

There were no permits available for tonight, so I walked back to East Glacier which included my first climb/pass of this hike. How wonderful it felt to be climbing in the mountains again.

I spent a relaxing afternoon back at the hostel I’ve been staying at where owners Will and Luna have taken me in with open arms and shared their home and animals (both wild and domesticated) with me.
