Day #51-Welcome to Leadville. Miles hiked: 21.8

Today was so short and relatively snow-free that it felt like Christmas! We hadn’t planned to get to town this quickly, but the trail provided.

Also, please remember that when you make a deposit by water sources, it spreads noro and giardia and is just plain rude. This lovely sign is  an excellent reminder.

Not much else to report today other than cruisy miles, a quick hitch to the highest town in America (over 10k ft), and a feast upon arrival.
