Day #50-A sweet, sweet gift. Miles hiked: 18.8

Today started off with finishing the climb up Hope Pass and getting rained on while packing up my cowboy camp from last night. Definitely expedited the packing process!

After cruising 8.5 miles down to Twin Lakes, an angel from Johnson City and her niece arrived to shower us with food-welcome to my pharm professor, Dr. Michelle!

She and her niece, Julie, put out a spread of fresh produce and chips and subsequently attracted a crew of 10 starving hikers. Perhaps the most exciting part of all was the delivery of a fresh pair of shoes. Goodbye to constantly getting rocks and sticks in my shoes!

After a sad goodbye, we cruised 10 more miles and are looking forward to hitting Leadville tomorrow.

PS-This is what it takes to write this blog. Thanks to all who are still following along.
