Day #10-Agua!!! Miles hiked: 26.7

Hiker news flash: I just saw the first natural water source on the entire CDT! It was but a trickle, but we have started winding through canyon country and found a few small streams. After 9 days of cow poop water, it brought me to tears.

In other news, we’ve had a mix of canyons, shady spots, and passes as we work our way towards the Gila.

Around mile 20, we finally dropped down into the Gila and you best believe the first thing I did was drop my pack and go lay in the water. Also, check out these tadpoles!

And thus begins the water crossings. I’ve heard anywhere from 170-200 total, but who’s counting?
