Passed some old mines and some grazing cows before reaching the official CDT route once again.

In stark contrast to the Bob Marshall Wilderness that I just walked through, this section of trail was a lot of open pastures and ranches, even a ski resort! It feels nice to be able to see in all directions after walking through such dense forest.

Also, how could I forget my favorite trail friends, cows! I ended up taking a dirt road instead of trail the last 8 miles of the day to bypass another CDT fire closure and got to hang out with these guys and gals the whole way down.
