Day #15-Journey to a hiker palace. Miles hiked: 18.3

We didn’t hike as far today for good reason—to end our day early at Davila Ranch. However, it didn’t make crawling out of sleeping bags to frozen water any easier.

We knocked out 15 miles of road walking before finding a hiker huddle at the only water source for the past 20 miles. If you put it out, they will come.

A few more blazing miles of exposed road later, it was finally time to check out Davila.

This place is a family-owned ranch whose owner, John, built a hiker oasis on their property with showers, laundry, WiFi, and endless potatoes to cook over gas. Everything you could ever need!

We took full advantage and passed out under the lean-to.
